• CEAM becomes part of the Lapp Group

    Headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, the Lapp Group is a leading supplier of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology. The Lapp Group has also sales companies in Italy (https://lappitalia.lappgroup.com/) and Romania (https://lappromania.lappgroup.com. The Lapp Group has remained in continuous family ownership since it was founded in 1959. In the 2014/15 business year, it generated consolidated revenue of 886 million euros. Lapp has also acquired S.C. Fender Cables (http://www.fendercables.com/), a company employing 20 members of staff in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It specialises in cables for alarm and fire protection systems and, along with CEAM, was part of COFIMA Holding. Franco Magon, one of CEAM and Fender founders, emphasized that the Lapp Group and CEAM fit together well not only in terms of technology and products but also in their values: "Ethics, innovation, performance and service - these values have been guidelines for CEAM, and they have brought our small family business together with the global player Lapp.” And Carlo Magon adds:" This acquisition is very good news for CEAM, for our employees and for our customers, as is creates entirely new opportunities for growth and development." CEAM will continue to supply CEAM products to their existing customers.
  • Long-standing partnership

    Lapp has a long-standing partnership with CEAM. Andreas Lapp, Chairman of the Board of Lapp Holding: “Lapp has thus attained additional expertise and manufacturing capacities, especially in the fast growing Industrial Ethernet and fieldbus systems markets.” The acquisition took effect on October 13; the parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
  • Monselice will become Competence centre

    Lapp will continue to run and support the production sites. The Lapp Group wants Monselice to be its competence centre for industry-standard data transfer technology with a research and development team and a test centre. In occasione di tale vetrina, oltre ai già noti ed apprezzati cavi Ethernet della serie LANFIRE adatti alla trasmissione dati per categorie 5e, 6 e 7 per oltre 120 minuti nelle gravose condizioni previste dalla Norma EN 50200 ed assieme ai molteplici cavi specificatamente progettati, prodotti e testati per la trasmissione dati in condizioni di posa dinamica, è stata promossa una serie di cavi PROFIBUS, PROFINET ed ETHERNET adatti al settore della robotica in cui la sollecitazione torsionale è frequente e preponderante.

CEAM CAVI SPECIALI Srl,  thanks to the unstoppable activities of innovation and research carried on in its laboratories, is now confirming the excellence of Italian industry by completing its LANFIRE (fire resistant LAN cables) products range.

Two new items, in fact, have been added to the already well-known F/UTP 4x2x23/1AWG Cat.5e PH120 (CEAM code 0502850):

  • SF/UTP 4x2x22/1AWG Cat.6 PH120 (CEAM code 0502852)
  • S/FTP 4x2x22/1AWG Cat.7 PH120 (CEAM code 0502870)

CEAM CAVI SPECIALI Srl is the first company in the world that is able to combine the guarantee of functionality for 120 minutes under fire conditions, as required by the EN 50200 and EN 50289-4-16 regulations with the required performances of the electrical/transmission parameters that are typical of ISO/IEC 11801 standards, suitable for FAST ETHERNET / GIGABIT ETHERNET data transmission, from Cat.5e to Cat.7.

The above mentioned cables, moreover, are currently “patent pending” at the Patent Office.
